Title: Red Queen
Author: Ololon
Rating: Initially PG, but later chapters will rise to T/M largely for some nasty situations. Action/adventure, some drama, some horror, some romance.
Summary: The Tok'ra request SG1's assistance when they learn that Baal may have acquired a goa'uld queen in a human host with special powers – a hok'taur. The truth proves to be quite different, and could hold the key to the destruction of the goa'uld – or the survival of the Tok'ra.
Characters: Malek, Jacob/Selmak, Delek, Anise/Freya, SG1, Bratac, OFC (sorry: necessary for the plot!)
Story notes: Set late season 7 through season 8. I'm quite approximate with the timeline and you may consider it slightly AU in that certain characters that died during these seasons stay alive in my fic I use the characters of Malek/Darin that I introduced in Balancing the Books, but you do not need to read that fic to understand this one.
Technical notes: Spelling is British English. In general, italics is host/symbiote communication, or internal thoughts for non-blended individuals. Bold is for emphasis. Please note this fic is going to be novel-length (circa 75,000 words). 90% of it is written as of this chapter (but only about 5% formatted). The rest will hopefully be done as I go along. I will not take forever to upload between chapters.

Having re-discovered the Discworld lately, my mind appears to have gone on some sort of alarming Vetinari slashfest and keeps churning out ideas. I currently have six ideas, mostly Vetinari/Drumknott, in various states of non-progress (to add to all the other lack of progress in other fandoms). However, I have finished one little gen piece; it's not slash, but it's a start.

Wow, I actually did it without apparently buggering up the text or anything. Will wonders never cease. Anyway, that said, I know I've been making vague promises about (a) putting up some of my old, currently non-publicly available fanfic (mostly DS9) and (b) posting some new stuff for aaaaaaaaaages and I will get around to it. I was going to be shortly, but it will probably be, you know, quite slowly. I plea heavy workloads and, until quite recently, a broken computer.

Right. I got this account primarily to post fanfic and have not managed even one. I am now going to try. Brace yourselves for imminent disaster.

Primarily my aim is to converse with others I know who have LJ accounts and whom I want to reply to, and occasionally upload something here for people to look at (i.e. I'm too lazy at the moment to get myself a proper webpage).

You never know though, by the end of the month I could be posting prolifically and *really* annoying people :P
